Privacy
Queens Court is a puzzle game made by Unbeaten Studios Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). This page explains what we collect and why. In short: we collect as little as we can to run the game, and we never sell your data.
The website
The daily puzzles on the website need no account. Your progress, streak and settings are kept in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us. Clearing your browser data clears them.
To see how the puzzles are used, the website records simple events on our own server, such as "a puzzle was started" or "a puzzle was finished", against a random ID stored in your browser. It contains nothing that identifies you, we don't use cookies for it, and it isn't shared with anyone.
The app
- An anonymous account. When you first open the app we create an account with a random ID, so your levels, gold and power-ups are saved. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Invite codes. If you enter a friend's invite code, we record that their account invited yours so we can give you both the gold. Your friend sees only how many friends have joined, not who. To stop people inviting themselves, we keep a scrambled code derived from your network address (not the address itself) and compare it with your friend's.
- Your leaderboard name. We give you a random name like "Duchess 4821". You can change it. It is public, so please don't use your real name unless you want to.
- Game activity. Levels played, times, mistakes, power-ups used and scores, to run the game and the leaderboards.
- How the app is used. Events such as opening the app, finishing the tutorial, starting a level or opening the shop, recorded on our own server against your anonymous account so we can find and fix the places where the game is confusing or too hard. We don't use a third-party analytics service for this.
- Purchases. If you buy gold or remove ads, Apple processes the payment. We receive a record of the purchase (via our payments provider, RevenueCat) so we can add what you bought. We never see your card details.
- Ads. The free app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may use your device's advertising identifier if you allow tracking when asked, and may collect other information as described in Google's ads policy. If you don't allow tracking, ads are less personalised.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase: hosts our database and game server.
- RevenueCat and Apple: in-app purchases.
- Google AdMob: ads in the app.
Deleting your data
In the app, open Settings and choose Delete my account and progress. This permanently deletes your account, progress and leaderboard scores. Purchases can't be refunded from there; Apple handles refunds.
Children
Queens Court is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
